POLEMARCH’S MESSAGE

Welcome to the Oak Park–River Forest (IL) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Incorporated.

It is my distinct honor to serve as the Charter Polemarch of this chapter and to welcome you to our home on the web.

The Oak Park–River Forest Alumni Chapter was established with a clear vision: to build a chapter rooted in Achievement, Brotherhood, Service, and Leadership, while creating a lasting impact throughout Oak Park, River Forest, Chicago’s West Side, and the surrounding communities.

We proudly call ourselves The Upper Echelon Nupes, guided by our charge:

Leading with Excellence. Serving with Purpose.

For us, “Upper Echelon” is more than a nickname. It is the standard we set for ourselves. It means striving for excellence in our professions, our families, our fraternity, and our communities. It means being intentional about how we serve, how we lead, and how we represent Kappa Alpha Psi.

Although we are a young chapter, we understand that our responsibility extends far beyond ourselves. We are building something that should endure for generations.

That responsibility can be seen in our commitment to Guide Right and Kappa League, where we invest in the development and achievement of young men. It is reflected in our community service and civic engagement, our commitment to reclamation and brotherhood, and our continued efforts to build meaningful partnerships with schools, organizations, businesses, and community leaders throughout the area.

Most importantly, we believe that achievement carries with it an obligation to reach back, lift others, and create opportunities for those who come behind us.

To the Brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi who are new to the area, looking to reconnect with the fraternity, or searching for a chapter to call home: there is a place for you at OPRF. We invite you to fellowship with us, bring your talents to the table, and help us continue building this chapter.

To our neighbors, families, community partners, and friends: thank you for your support. We welcome the opportunity to serve alongside you and build relationships that create meaningful and lasting impact.

And to the young men watching us: know that we see you, we believe in you, and we are committed to helping expose you to opportunities that expand what you believe is possible for your future.

The story of the Oak Park–River Forest Alumni Chapter is still being written. We are proud of the foundation we have established, but we are even more excited about what lies ahead.

I invite you to explore our website, learn more about our programs and initiatives, support our work, and connect with our chapter.

Together, we will continue Leading with Excellence, Serving with Purpose, and striving for Achievement in Every Field of Human Endeavor.
